Q & A About E-Verify Posters
February 22nd, 2012Q: What is the E-Verify poster? Is it included on your state labor law posters?
A: Many states have passed laws that require employers to register with the federal E-Verify program, which is used to determine if workers are eligible for employment. If your state has an E-Verify law, covered employers must register for E-Verify through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and must post the required E-Verify posters.
- Only employers who have registered for E-Verify should post the required posters which can be downloaded during the registration process as proof of their participation in the program.
- Only the DHS can provide these required E-Verify posters to employers.
For these reasons E-Verify posters are not included on our state labor law posters. For further information about E-Verify, or to register for the program and download the required posters, go to the DHS E-Verify home page at http://www.dhs.gov/e-verify or call 888-464-4218.
Oh, OneSystem, How Do I Love Thee
February 15th, 2012Valentine’s Day has come and gone but you still have the opportunity to fall in LOVE with the OneSystem 1-Year Compliance Plan. We’re sure we’ll win your heart with our sweet deal of $19.95 off the OneSystem all month long. By next Valentine’s Day, you’ll be writing your own sonnet about painless compliance!
Oh, OneSystem, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee all day and month and year
That I don’t worry about compliance.
For the end of constant mandatory labor law revisions and hassles,
I love thee to the level of every workday’s
most mundane task under recessed and fluorescent lighting.
I love thee as freely as my fellow workers strive for Casual Friday;
I love thee purely, more so after the 2nd postponement of the NLRA
I love thee with the same passion I show
In renewing every year, and avoiding pesky poster solicitations.
I love thee, OneSystem, with a renewed love
After I saved $19.95 this month — I love thee with all the OSHA updates,
Minimum wage increases, Workers Comp revisions, of all my days of work! — and, especially
I shall love thee more every year with your gift of priceless peace of mind!
(With thanks and apologies to Elizabeth Barrett Browning)
