Maryland Changes Health Insurance Poster; Poster Update Required
July 28th, 2011The latest required change to the Maryland labor law poster is on the MD Health Insurance poster.
Workers who may now be eligible for coverage by their former employer’s health insurance policy include:
- Those who quit their jobs
- Those who are terminated for a reason other than for cause.

Massachusetts Updates Unemployment Poster; New Poster Required
July 28th, 2011The latest required change to the Massachusetts labor law poster is on the MA Unemployment Insurance poster.
The poster, called “Information on Employees’ Unemployment Insurance Coverage”, includes extensive changes in the schedule of assigned days for filing claims by telephone through the TeleClaims Center.

Colorado Updates Unemployment Poster; New Poster Required
June 30th, 2011The latest required change to the Colorado labor law poster is on the CO Unemployment Insurance poster.
Unemployment claims can now be filed online, and both phone numbers for the Unemployment Insurance Program have changed.

Unemployment Poster Changes in MD & MN but Previous Versions Still OK
February 10th, 2011A new state unemployment poster has been issued in Maryland and Minnesota, but the previous version of both required posters is still valid.
- Maryland: No update required for Unemployment Insurance, according to the MD Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Poster changes are added phone number, complaints handled by a different office, and new revision date of 12/10.
- Minnesota: No update required for Unemployment Benefits, according to Unemployment Insurance Minnesota. Poster changes are new name and website address for unemployment handbook, and new revision date of 12/10.

Maine Updates Unemployment Benefits Poster
January 18th, 2011The latest required change to the Maine labor law poster is on the ME Unemployment Benefits poster.
New information has been added about benefits for partial unemployment. Also, computers are now available at Maine Department of Labor CareerCenters for those wishing to file claims online for ME unemployment benefits.

West Virginia Issues New Unemployment Compensation Poster
November 18th, 2010A revised West Virginia unemployment compensation poster has been issued by Workforce West Virginia.
The updated WV labor law poster must be posted by all employers.
An alternative base period can now be used to meet monetary eligibility requirements for receiving West Virginia unemployment benefits, in addition to the regular base period mentioned on the previous poster.

Pennsylvania Changes 3 Labor Law Posters
July 14th, 2010The three newest required changes on the Pennsylvania labor law poster are found on the Unemployment poster and two Pennsylvania Human Relations Act posters.
New information added to the Unemployment poster states that existing claims may now be reopened on the website, in addition to filing new claims. It also clarifies that if you have a PIN from a prior claim, you will need it when applying for benefits.
The UC Program website also has a new address.
The two posters issued by the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission – Employment Provisions and Public Accommodation – both include extensive changes to the contact information for all four of the Commission offices.

Kansas Updates Unemployment Labor Law Poster
June 7th, 2010The latest required change to the Kansas labor law poster is an update of the Unemployment poster. This change happened while our Kansas all-in-one poster was already in production since a new state No Smoking poster was issued in May. However, we were able to stop the press and make this second change to our new poster (dated 5-10).
The hours for Claim Specialists have been expanded to 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on the new Unemployment poster. Previously the hours for Claim Specialists were limited to 8 am to 4 pm.
The website address was also updated.
The No Smoking poster is required as of July 1 as a result of the new Kansas Indoor Clean Air Act . The Act bans smoking in public places, including all workplaces, restaurants and bars and within 10 feet of business entrances and air intakes.
