CHILD LABOR LAWS
- Changes in hours that 16- and 17-year-olds can work based on new state law :
- Latest time these youths may work the night before school day extended from 10 p.m to 10:15 p.m.
- When school is in session, work hours on a school day have been extended from 4 hours to 6 hours, and work hours in a week extended from 20 hours to 24 hours.
- Information about work during unscheduled school closure (i.e. snow day, frozen pipes) has been removed.
- Federal agency contact information changed
- New Revision Date of 7/11.
MINIMUM WAGE
- New information under “Service Employees” states that these employees may be required to pool their tips to be divided evenly among service employees only.
