Minimum Wage

  • Effective Jan.1, 2009, the minimum wage increases from $7.00 to $7.30 per hour. (The minimum wage rate is adjusted for inflation every January 1.)
  • Minimum rate for tipped employees also increases Jan. 1 from $3.50 to $3.65 per hour.
  • Employers who gross less than $267,000 (increased from $255,000 on the previous notice) shall pay no less than the current federal minimum wage.
