Workers’ Compensation
- New Oklahoma workers’ compensation law effective Aug. 26, 2011.
- Employers required by law to furnish diagnostic services.
- New information about cumulative trauma includes:
- Added as new category of work-related injury
- This type of claim must now be filed within 2 years of when employee was last employed by employer.
- Any person receiving temporary disability benefits must now report changes in status within 7 days, rather than “promptly” as stated on previous poster.
- Insurers who do not begin payments when employer has actual notice of an undisputed injury “shall pay” a 15% penalty to employees. Previous poster said insurer “may be subject to” 15 % penalty in this situation.
- Claims forms now available online.
- Heading now refers to “Work Related Injury” instead of “Accidental Injury or Occupational Disease”.
- New Revision Date of 8/11
