WISCONSIN FAMILY LEAVE
(For employers with the 50 or more employees)

Permanent employees may now take up to two weeks of leave for the care of a domestic partner with a serious health condition. Previously this leave could be taken to care for a child, spouse or parent.

MINIMUM WAGE

Note: The Minimum Wage notice for Wisconsin is INFORMATIONAL ONLY (not required).

Effective July 24, 2009, the general minimum wage rate increases from $6.40 to $7.25 per hour.
Minimum wage rates for agriculture employees also increase to $7.25 per hour.
Minimum wage categories have changed from adult employees, opportunity employees and minor employees to non-opportunity and opportunity employees (Opportunity employees are not yet 20 years old and have been employed for 90 or fewer days.)
Increases in maximum allowances for board and lodging for non-agricultural employees.
Increased weekly salary amounts for all those employed as camp counselors.
