Alabama Updates Child Labor, Unemployment Posters; New AL Labor Law Poster Required

Alabama has updated two of its mandatory labor law posters:  Child Labor Laws (revision date 2012), and Unemployment Compensation (no revision date).

The Child Labor Laws poster now includes:

• A new section on record-keeping requirements for employers
• New information on obtaining and posting Child Labor Certificates
• Changes to the alcoholic beverage section regarding employee restrictions, including new rules on minors  employed by their immediate family

The Unemployment Compensation poster reflects the fact that the Department of Industrial Relations is now part of the Alabama Department of Labor. A new website address is also provided.
