California Paid Sick Leave Passes; New CA Labor Law Poster On Watch

The newest required change to the California labor law poster will be the inclusion of California’s new Paid Sick Leave law. The Paid Sick Leave bill, recently signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown, becomes effective July 1, 2015. Whistleblowers have expanded protections based on new amendments to the law, including: Employees are protected when they notify an authorized person within the company. California Minimum Wage Increases July 2014; New CA Labor Law Poster Will Be Required

The California minimum wage will increase in two steps beginning in July 2014. The current $8.00 per hour rate will increase as follows: to $9.00 per hour as of July 1, 2014, and to $10.00 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2016. The bill passed both the Senate and Assembly, and Gov. You may have heard that a new California OSHA poster (Occupational Safety and Health) has been issued by Cal/OSHA. California Updates Discrimination & Leave Posters; New CA Labor Law Poster Required

The latest required changes to the California labor law poster are found on the CA discrimination poster and two family leave posters. As of Jan. 1, 2012, employers are required to provide written notice with specific employment-related information to their employees.
