Employment of Minors Updated on Maryland Labor Law Poster

The latest change  to the Maryland labor law poster is the extensive update of the Employment of Minors poster.   This new version  is required for all employers of minors.

All of these lists have been added to the Employment of Minors poster:

  • A list of 17 occupations declared hazardous by the U.S. Secretary of Labor (and adopted by the state of Maryland) that  are forbidden for minors under the age of 18
  • An additional 10 occupations also forbidden for those under 18.
  • Ten areas of employment restricted for minors 14 and 15 years of age

There is also new information about activities that are not considered employment under the law.
