Are you a federal contractor? Chances are that you are required to post additional labor law posters required for federal contractors.
Don’t worry, we’ll help you through this!
Let’s start with the definition of a federal contractor: if your company does business with the federal government or does business with another company who holds direct contracts with the federal government, then you may be a federal contractor or subcontractor.
As a federal contractor or subcontractor, you are required to post labor posters in addition to the state and federal compliance posters. We have compiled the list below of the most common required compliance posters for federal contractors.
What’s on our Federal Contractor Poster?
- Notice of Employee Rights Under the National Labor Relations Act
- Notice to Employees Working on Government Contracts
- Notice to All Employees Working on Federal or Federally Financed Construction Projects
- Worker Rights Under Executive Order 13658: Federal Minimum Wage for Contractors
All of these labor posters are published on our Federal Contractor Poster or you may purchase them individually through the links above.
You may already know that the EEO “It’s the Law” compliance poster is required to be posted by general employers. Did you know that federal contractors covered by Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act must also ensure they are posting the “It’s the Law” compliance poster (federal EEO)? In addition, the OFCCP’s regulations effective March 24, 2014 require companies to have the federal EEO compliance poster available in a form that is “accessible and understandable” to disabled veterans and individuals with disabilities. Available formats issued are in braille, audio format or the EEO poster in large print.
New Poster Requirement – Minimum Wage
Most recently, a new compliance poster requirement was issued for minimum wage for federal contractors:
- $10.10 per hour effective January 2015 under Executive Order 13658.
- Starting 1/1/16 it will be adjusted annually for inflation
This minimum wage notice is published on our federal contractor poster which is available for purchase individually or as a part of our worry-free 1-Year Plan for federal contractors.
Keep in mind, there may be additional specialized posters that federal contractors are required to post, depending on industry, sector, location or workforce.
