Michigan’s Updated Minimum Wage Poster Coming Soon

The minimum wage in Michigan is set to increase on January 1, 2017, and again on January 1, 2018. The state has already released the poster announcing the minimum wage rates for adults, minors, and tipped employees in 2017 and 2018.

New Minimum Wage Rates for 2017

Effective January 1, 2017, Michigan’s minimum wage will increase to $8.90 per hour, and to $3.38 per hour for tipped employees. For minors 16 and 17 years old, the minimum wage will increase to $7.57.

New Minimum Wage Rates for 2018

Effective January 1, 2018, Michigan’s minimum wage will increase to $9.25 per hour, and to $3.52 per hour for tipped employees. For minors 16 and 17 years old, the minimum wage will increase to $7.86.
