Illinois minimum wage increases July 1 from $8.00 per hour to $8.25 per hour. This is the final step of a multi-step increase.
Employers do not need to change their state labor law poster since the 6/08 version of the Illinois minimum wage poster, which lists the July 1, 2010, increase, is already included on our current Illinois all-in-one state poster with a publication date of 9/08.
Illinois first increased its minimum wage to $7.50 in July 2007, followed by an automatic 25-cent increase each year since then.
In addition to minimum wage and overtime, the Illinois minimum wage poster (called “Your Rights Under Illinois Employment Laws“) also covers Wage Payment, Equal Pay, VESSA (Victim’s Economic Security and Safety Act), One Day Rest in Seven and Child Labor.
