Ohio Raises Minimum Wage for 2014; New OH Labor Law Poster Required

The Ohio Department of Commerce has announced that the minimum wage will increase from $7.85 to $7.95 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2014.   (The minimum wage rate is adjusted for inflation every January 1.)   The updated minimum wage poster is the latest required change on the OH labor law poster.

The minimum wage for tipped employees also increases Jan. 1 from $3.93 to $3.98 per hour, plus tips.

Employers with a gross income of less than $292,000 (increased from $288,000 for 2013) must pay their employees no less than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
