Tennessee Updates Wage Regulations/Child Labor Notice

The State of Tennessee just released an update to its Wage Regulations Act/Child Labor Act notice, which has a new revision date of 8/17/2017.

Details of the Changes

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DLWD) now requires that all wages due to employees in private employment be paid “not less frequently than once per month,” which translates to at least once per month.

Previously, wages were required to be paid “at least semi-monthly” (i.e., at least twice per month).

The updates to the notice also include the removal of outdated contact information for the DLWD, and the addition of a new acronym for the department’s toll-free number: (844) 224-5818 (REGULATIONS).
