San Francisco has updated the Health and Security Ordinance posting that is required for businesses with 20 or more employees effective January 1, 2016.
What Are the Changes?
The minimum healthcare amounts for covered employees have increased. Employers with 20-99 employees must spend at least $1.68 on healthcare benefits for every hour payable for each covered employee. Additionally, employers with more than 100 employees must spend at least $2.53 on healthcare benefits for every hour payable for each covered employee.
Another Expected Change
San Francisco’s minimum wage is set to increase to $13.00 effective July 1, 2016.
