Michigan has made a required significant change to the Safety and Health (MIOSH) labor law poster. This poster has a revision date of 7/15, and it is now time to update all of your state employment posters for MI locations.
Details of the New MIOSH Requirement
There is a new requirement to notify the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) within 24 hours of all work-related inpatient hospitalizations, amputations, and losses of an eye.
The new MIOSH poster is currently available in English, and we are watching carefully for the Spanish translation of the labor law poster.
Another Mandatory Change on the Horizon
Closer to the end of the year, Michigan will release a mandatory minimum wage poster. The minimum wage increases to $8.50 on January 1, 2016, and your MI posters will need to be updated once again.
Since we know that there will be a required change in the future, it is important that our Michigan customers enroll in Poster Compliance Center’s OneSystem 1-Year Compliance Plan.
