Washington Removes Minimum Wage Poster from Labor Law Poster

The Washington State Department of Labor and Industry (LNI) has discontinued the WA minimum wage poster which was previously part of the Washington labor law poster.

Employers are still required to post the “Your Rights as a Worker” poster, which provides general information about the state minimum wage but not the minimum wage amount, according to LNI.

Washington minimum wage will increase from $8.55 to $8.67 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2011.   The annual Jan. 1 WA minimum wage adjustment is caused by any increase in the Consumer Price Index.

The final version of the discontinued WA minimum wage poster, which is included on our current Washington all-in-one poster, contains the minimum wage rate for 2010, which only applies through Dec. 31, 2010.

Poster Compliance Center is producing a new Washington labor law poster without the discontinued minimum wage poster.   This updated poster will be automatically sent to all Washington customers with our 1-Year Compliance Protection Plan.
