Will New 2013 Oregon Labor Law Poster Be Required For Family Leave Laws?

Q.   Will the new Oregon leave laws (domestic violence and bereavement leave) require an updated labor law poster?

A:   Yes, businesses will be required to update their posters for two new Oregon laws that go into effect Jan. 1, 2014.

  • Domestic Violence Leave:   New poster will be required for employers with 6 or more employees.
  • Bereavement Leave Law:   Bereavement leave information will be added to the Oregon Family Leave Act poster.   This new law covers employers of 25 or more.

We will publish an updated Oregon labor law poster including the new Domestic Violence poster and the amended Oregon Family Leave poster when the OR Bureau of Labor & Industries issues them.
