Workers’ Compensation–Bill of Rights (Jul. 2016)

  • Changes to medical benefits for injuries caused by on-the-job accidents:
    • If accident occurred on or after July 1, 2013, medical treatment limited to maximum of 400 weeks from accident date.
    • If injury is catastrophic, employee may be entitled to lifetime medical benefits.
  • For catastrophic and non-catastrophic job-related injuries, employee’s weekly benefit is increased to a maximum of $575 per week as long as employee is unable to work.
  • If employee is able to work with restrictions, the weekly income benefit is increased to a maximum of $383 per week.
  • When employee returns to work, but can only get a lower paying job as a result of the injury, the weekly income benefit is increased to $383 per week.
  • If employee dies as a result of an on-the-job accident, employee’s dependent(s) will receive an increase in benefits from $550 a week to a maximum of $575 per week. A widowed spouse with no children will receive an increase in the maximum benefit from $200,000 to $230,000.
  • New Revision Date of July 2016

Georgia Labor Law Requirements

Georgia Mandatory Labor Law Posters:

  • Workers' Compensation Official Notice*

*Included on Spanish poster.

These regulations require you to post the employment posters in conspicuous places at your business locations.

NOTE: Spanish posters may not include all notices published on the English poster and may vary from our standard 18” x 24” size since states do not issue all notices in Spanish.
