Federal Contractor Poster Soon to Be Updated

Effective January 1, 2018, the minimum wage for federal contractors will be going up, and we are on the lookout for the updated poster.

The federal contractor minimum wage is subject to an annual adjustment for inflation every January 1, based on Executive Order 13658. This adjustment is determined by the Secretary of Labor and announced in the Federal Register every September, 90 days prior to the effective date.

Federal Contractor Minimum Wage

The minimum wage for federal contractors will increase from $10.20 per hour to $10.35 on January 1, 2018. The tipped wage will increase from $6.80 per hour to $7.25.

Paid Sick Leave Law Still in Effect

On January 1, 2017, the Paid Sick Leave law for federal contractors went into effect, based on Executive Order 13706. As we announced last year, the law provides one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 56 hours per year.
