West Virginia Unemployment Insurance Rates Unchanged; No New WV Poster Required

West Virginia has changed the date on its mandatory Unemployment Poster to July 1, 2012, but the state says that is the only change. The previous version of the poster, which details unemployment benefit rates,  is still in compliance. West Virginia Issues New Unemployment Compensation Poster

A revised West Virginia unemployment compensation poster has been issued by Workforce West Virginia. The updated WV labor law poster must be posted by all employers. An alternative base period can now be used to meet monetary eligibility requirements for receiving West Virginia unemployment benefits, in addition to the regular base period mentioned on the previous poster. New Wage Classes Added to West Virginia Unemployment Benefits Notice

August 21st, 2008
A revised West Virginia labor law poster includes 11 new wage classes at the end of the state’s Unemployment Benefits Rate Table. Before this latest change, the maximum wage base range for West Virginia workers seeking unemployment benefits was $38,500 and above. Anyone within that range was eligible for weekly unemployment benefits of $408 and a maximum total payment of $10,608.
