Based on an amendment to Colorado’s minimum wage law, which passed in the November 2016 election, the state’s minimum wage is going up. As of January 1, 2017, there will be annual increases until the minimum wage reaches $12.00 in 2020. After 2020, adjustments will be made for the cost of living. Colorado Releases Proposed 2016 Wage Increase Rates

Each year, Colorado releases the amounts of the proposed minimum wage increase for 2016 before there is a decision on formally adopting the new wage. Colorado Proposes New Minimum Wage for 2013

The Colorado Department of Labor and Industry has proposed a minimum wage increase from $7.64 to $7.78 (and $4.76 per hour for employees who regularly receive tips), effective Jan.1, 2013. Colorado Updates Unemployment Poster; New Poster Required

Unemployment claims can now be filed online, and both phone numbers for the Unemployment Insurance Program have changed. Colorado Discrimination Poster Updated

The latest required change to the Colorado labor law poster is on the CO Anti-Discrimination poster. The mandatory discrimination poster issued by the Colorado Division of Civil Rights has been updated with an expanded definition of discrimination based on sexual orientation, which now includes transgender status. All types of discrimination covered by Colorado anti-discrimination laws are illegal in employment, housing and public accommodations. Labor Law Poster Changes in NJ, OH & CO but Previous Versions Still OK

Colorado Labor Law Poster Updated with 2011 CO Minimum Wage

December 3rd, 2010
The latest required change to the Colorado labor law poster is the minimum wage increase from $7.24 to $7.36, effective Jan.1, 2011, according to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. This change is included in Colorado Minimum Wage Order 27, which replaces Minimum Wage Order 26 as of Jan. 1.
