Minimum Wage (January 2026)
Effective January 1st, 2026, the city of Albuquerque minimum wage is $11.85/hour, unless the employee’s employer provides healthcare and/or childcare benefits that exceed an annualized cost of $2,500 per year, in which case it’s $10.85/hour. However, the state of New Mexico’s minimum wage supersedes the City’s minimum wage, and the prevailing wage is $12.00/hour. This means the non-tipped minimum wage remains $12.00/hour, while the tipped minimum wage remains $7.20/hour.
