Federal Required Labor Law Notices

Unemployment Insurance
Effective December 31, 2025, unemployment insurance recipients in Louisiana must perform no fewer than 5 work search activities per week in order to continue receiving UI benefits. Applicants also may be disqualified from receiving benefits if they fail to appear for a scheduled job interview, or if they fail to participate in an approved training program when directed by the Administrator. The logo for the Louisiana Workforce Commission (now called Louisiana Works) has been updated on the notice as well.
The Workers' Compensation Notice received a small language update, and the Armed Services notice received a logo change.
The Unemployment Insurance notice is available in English and Spanish.
Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC)
The salary threshold to qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) has been raised to $61,555/year ($68,675 if married and filing jointly) for state residents with three or more qualifying children. The threshold for those with two qualifying children is now $57,310 ($64,430 if married and filing jointly), $50,434 for those with one qualifying child ($57,554 if married and filing jointly), and $19,104 for those with no qualifying children ($26,214 if married and filing jointly).

Unemployment Insurance
The notice now states that anyone who makes a false statement or intentionally fails to disclose an important fact will be disqualified for the remainder of the benefit year subsequent to the fraud act.
The notice also now states that any person who has been disqualified from benefits due to fraud will not be entitled to further benefits until penalties have been paid, or ten years have elapsed.
Finally, the notice also now states that all fraud overpayments over $1,000 shall be referred to the office of the district attorney where the claimant resides and shall be considered a crime of theft.
