Unemployment Benefits
The notice now includes a section explaining what unemployment benefits are and how they work. The two sections on eligibility requirements were combined into one section, and the section now states that people can apply for benefits online, and that claimants must earn less than their weekly benefit amount plus $60 during each week they claim benefits. The notice also now contains a QR code which takes the reader to the Workforce West Virginia webpage on unemployment insurance.

The notice now states that UI applicants must actively seek full-time work by completing four (4) work search activities each week. The notice also states that UI applicants must document and retain proof of their four work search activities and provide them to WorkForceWV upon request by the agency.
The section on the Voluntary Income Tax Withholding Program now states that UI benefit recipients may choose to have State as well as Federal income tax deducted and withheld from their unemployment benefits.
The Putnam office has been removed from the list full-time claims offices.
