MINIMUM WAGE

  • Minimum wage increases from $7.40 to $7.70 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2012.  (The minimum wage rate is adjusted for inflation every January 1.)
  • The minimum wage for tipped employees also increases, from $3.70 to $3.85 per hour plus tips.
  • Employers who gross less than $283,000 (increased from  $271,000 on the previous notice) shall pay their employees no less than the current federal minimum wage.
  • New Revision Date of 9/29/11.
