Wage & Hour Laws (October 2018)

  • New minimum wage law includes stepped increases to $15.00 over 5 years:
    • Effective Jan. 1, 2019, the minimum wage will be $12.00 per hour and the hourly tipped wage will be $4.35.
    • Effective Jan. 1, 2020, the minimum wage will be $12.75 per hour and the hourly tipped wage will be $4.95.
    • Effective Jan. 1, 2021, the minimum wage will be $13.50 per hour and the hourly tipped wage will be $5.55.
    • Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the minimum wage will be $14.25 per hour and the hourly tipped wage will be $6.15.
    • Effective Jan. 1, 2023, the minimum wage will be $15.00 per hour and the hourly tipped wage will be $6.75.
  • In the “Employers Must Not Discriminate” section of the notice, the phrase the opposite sex has been changed to a different gender.
  • New Revision Date of 10/2018
