Awaiting Future Changes to the Federal Contractor Poster

There are two changes coming to the Federal Contractor poster, a minimum wage increase and a new Nondiscrimination Provision. We are tracking the January 1, 2016 minimum wage increase for federal contractors and are awaiting the release of the updated wage poster. The Nondiscrimination Provision poster was recently released, and will be added to the federal contractor poster as well.

Federal Contractor Minimum Wage

On January 1, 2016, the federal contractor minimum wage increases from $10.10 to $10.15 per hour. The tipped minimum wage also increases from $4.90 to $5.85 per hour. These rates are adjusted annually for inflation on January 1 of every year. We are checking frequently for the updated poster to be released, and will put the poster into production as soon as this posting is available.

Nondiscrimination Provision

The Nondiscrimination Provision is a new posting required per  the Pay Transparency Law. This new posting clarifies that contractors cannot discriminate against or discharge employees or applicants that have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant. The posting also provides examples of when employees cannot discuss their own pay or the pay of other employees or applicants. This new required notice must be posted by federal contractors by January 11, 2016.
