Minimum Wage Increase for Arizona On the Horizon

As of January 1, 2018, Arizona’s minimum wage will once again be on the rise, based on The Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act, which went into effect in November 2016.

Minimum Wage Rate

The minimum wage rate in Arizona will increase to $10.50 per hour, effective January 1, 2018. This will be followed by annual adjustments through January 1, 2020. Thereafter, annual increases will be based on the cost of living.

Requirements of the Minimum Wage Law

Arizona’s minimum wage law applies to all employers in the state and to all full-time, part-time, and temporary employees. In addition, the law makes no distinction between adult and minor employees, who must be paid the same minimum wage.
