Nevada Issues Update to Wage & Hour Laws Abstract

Nevada’s Office of the Labor Commissioner has released an update to the Rules to Be Observed by Employers notice, an abstract of the Nevada Wage & Hour Laws. The updated notice now includes information related to domestic workers and has a revision date of 8/3/18.

Change to Wage & Hour Law Rules

As on the previous Rules to Be Observed by Employers notice, provisions 1 through 7 of the Wage & Hour Laws Abstract do not apply to all employees, including air carrier, railroad, and agricultural employees, among many others. However, the list of exempt workers has been expanded to include domestic workers who reside in the household where they work—as long as the domestic workers and their employers agree in writing that the workers should be exempt from the provisions.
