New York’s Minimum Wage Poster Has Just Been Released!

On December 31, 2016, the minimum wage in New York is increasing by varying amounts, depending on an employer’s location. The new poster provides different wage rates for the following regions: New York City, Long Island and Westchester County, and the remainder of New York State.

NYC Minimum Wage Rates for Large and Small Employers

For employers with 11 or more employees, the minimum wage in New York City will be $11.00 per hour. For employers with 10 or fewer employees, the minimum wage will be $10.50 per hour.

What’s in Store for Long Island & Westchester County?

The minimum wage will be $10.00 per hour in Long Island and Westchester County.

What’s the Rate for the Remainder of New York State?

The minimum wage in the rest of New York State will be $9.70 per hour.

Future Minimum Wage Increases Are on Our Radar
