Richmond CA Updates 2016 Minimum Wage Poster

Richmond has released the poster for its 2016 increase to $11.52, and it includes new and important information for employers.

New Information on the 2016 Poster

Effective January 1, 2016, the minimum wage increases from $9.60 to $11.52. The poster now reflects that the minimum wage will increase annually based on the CPI on January 1, 2019 instead of January 1, 2018. Although not shown  on the poster, Richmond has established minimum wage amounts of $12.30 as of January 1, 2017, and  $13.00 January 1, 2018.

New to this poster is the introduction of an Intermediate Minimum Wage. Starting January 1, 2016, the Intermediate Minimum Wage will be $10.76. This wage only applies to employers that derive 50% of their income from transactions where the employer’s goods and services are produced by the employer in Richmond, and are shipped or delivered outside of the City.
