We are keeping a close watch for South Dakota’s updated minimum wage poster because January is fast approaching. The state’s minimum wage is scheduled to increase January 1, 2017, with annual cost-of-living increases thereafter.

What Is the New Minimum Wage Rate for South Dakota?

Effective January 1, 2017, the minimum wage in South Dakota will increase to $8.65 per hour. The minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $4.325 per hour.
