Tennessee’s Unemployment Insurance Poster Has Just Been Updated

The State of Tennessee just released its updated Unemployment Insurance poster, which has a new revision date of 3/17.

What’s New?

The instructions for applying for benefits and maintaining eligibility have been simplified. Employees can now apply for benefits, manage claims, and search for work at the same website (www.Jobs4tn.gov), which has been updated to provide user-friendly instructions and tools.

When searching for work, employees are required to document at least 3 tangible job contacts as part of what is now called the weekly certification process.

In addition, the credit card on which employees may elect to receive their benefits has been changed. It is now a Way2Go Master Card.

While the Partial Unemployment section of the poster has been removed, information for employees who worked less than full-time is available on the “Jobs4tn” site.

The updates to the poster also include a new website to help employees find work through resources available at Tennessee’s newly named American Job Centers. These brick-and-mortar centers provide job-search tools such as computers, phones, and fax machines, as well as recruiting events, skills workshops, and more.
