San Francisco’s Bay Area has had a flurry of minimum wage increases, and Palo Alto is one of the newest kids to the party. On January 1, 2016, the city will have a new minimum wage of $11.00.

What to Expect

The city has set the minimum wage to increase to $11.00 this January, and set a goal of raising the minimum wage to $15.00 by 2018 at some point in the near future.

Keeping an Eye Out for Future Changes

Under the new Palo Alto minimum wage law, posting the employment notice is required for all employers in the city, and future changes are currently in discussion. To stay on top of the game, you should order the City 1-Year Plan for Palo Alto to be covered if there are any new postings available, or any updates to the minimum wage during the next 12 months.
